The Divine and the Damned: Book 1
About
What lies between the Divine and the Damned?
Millenia ago, before God separated the sky from the Earth or uttered the words “Let there be light,” there were his archangels - perfect, beautiful, obedient... or they were supposed to be.
Of those original archangels, Lucifer is maybe the most infamous, and his closest ally amongst those angels? Well, you haven’t heard of her. Father made sure of that. I mean, it would throw his whole plan into question if you knew about His personal scribe.
Pari. Heaven’s scribe, Lucifer’s closest friend, Father’s first attempt at a female, and the reluctant mother of all religions.
She and Lucifer could not have been closer, and maybe that wasn’t a great thing in Heaven. As creation goes on, Lucifer gets more outspoken, more opinionated, more... disobedient. And Pari? Pari’s afraid. She’s seen her Father angry, and she doesn’t want to be on the receiving end of that anger again.
When Lucifer tells Pari his plans to rebel, she rejects him. Without her, the rebellion fails. Lucifer is cast into Hell, and you probably know most of that story.
What you haven’t heard about happens closer to the present. Millenia later, after Pari’s been forced to continue working as a scribe and Lucifer’s become King of Hell, Pari is inspired to be a bit disobedient herself. She’s now been banished to Hell where she is reunited with Lucifer, her former friend, almost lover, and now enemy.
Can these two reconcile and find out where the common ground lies between the Divine and the Damned?
This is a dark fantasy romance featuring several scenes of explicit romantic content, violence against women and queer folk, and depictions of sexual assault, torture, stalking, bullying, homophobia, kidnapping, drugging, and more. It deals heavily with religious themes.
